Privacy Policy

Scope

This is the privacy policy for Kaidan: Translated (https://en.kaidan.ink), the English edition of the kaidan.ink project. It lists what the site collects, what it does not, and which third-party services are involved. It is effective as of July 31, 2026.

What this site does not collect

The site has no user accounts and no registration. There is no newsletter and no mailing list. The site itself stores no personal data about visitors. The only personal information it ever receives is what you choose to send by email, covered below.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and reading patterns. Google Analytics uses cookies. The data it gathers is processed by Google.

Advertising

The site participates in the Google AdSense program. Ads, including personalized ads, may be shown. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads or https://www.aboutads.info/choices.

Comments

Comments are handled by Cusdis, a third-party service. The comment box is embedded from cusdis.com. When you post, your nickname, your email address if you give one, and the text of your comment are stored by Cusdis. Posting is optional; reading requires nothing.

Fonts and hosting

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, your IP address is transmitted to Google's servers. Hosting and delivery run through Cloudflare; all traffic to the site passes through it, and it may set technically necessary cookies for security. Cover images are served from the site's own subdomain, img.kaidan.ink, which also sits behind Cloudflare.

Stories link to the Japanese sites they were translated from, and some pages link to the Chinese edition and elsewhere. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy. This one stops at the threshold.

Email

Mail sent to [email protected], and the address it came from, is used only to reply and to handle the request — a correction, a takedown, a question. It is not shared with anyone and not used for anything else.

Changes

This policy may change. Any change is announced by updating this page itself.
