This happened just a week ago.
A little while back, I got really into dating apps.
I was constantly drinking and hanging out with different girls,
and whenever things went well, heading to a hotel.
That was my routine.
That was right around the time I ended up meeting A-ko.
My first impression of A-ko was that she was gorgeous.
To be completely honest, she was totally my type.
The conversation was great,
and I had so much fun it was hard to believe we'd just met.
Partway through, I even started thinking it'd be awesome if she became my girlfriend.
That's how into her I was getting.
I completely lost track of time having fun,
and before I knew it, it had gotten pretty late.
It was getting around the time I needed to start worrying about the last train.
Honestly, staying together with her until morning...
...was definitely something on my mind.
But I really wanted a long-term relationship with her,
so I decided to play it cool like a gentleman.
"It's almost time for the last train—should I walk you to the station?"
I asked her.
Then—
"Mmm, I kind of want to drink a little more. My place is right nearby, why don't we drink there?"
She hit me with the absolute dream line that every guy on a date wants to hear.
"Wait, really? Are you sure, this late?"
Ecstatic, I tried my best to play it cool.
"It's totally fine! I live alone anyway."
A perfect 100-point response.
At this point, there was no time to waste.
I quickly paid the bill,
we left the place,
bought some booze and snacks at a convenience store, and took a cab to her apartment.
Of course, I always had c*ndoms in my bag, so no issues there.
Her apartment building was pretty modern and stylish.
"Man, she lives in a nice place," I naively thought.
Until I stepped into her room.
Her room was what you'd call a hoarder's room.
And easily on the extreme end of the spectrum.
Shoes and umbrellas were piled on top of each other in the entryway,
and the room itself was littered with empty convenience store bento boxes
and plastic bottles everywhere.
Underneath all that, bags and clothes were scattered everywhere like a thick carpet.
She didn't seem bothered in the slightest.
She aggressively swept the trash aside with her hands to make a spot,
set down the convenience store bag,
and said, "Alright, let's drink!"
to me.
Internally, I was weirded out, but I was already pretty drunk,
so I figured we'd just start drinking for now.
The conversation was fun and lively as usual,
but every now and then, mixed in with her strong perfume,
I caught a sour, spoiled stench,
and I couldn't help wondering why a cute, totally normal girl's room was so filthy.
That thought kept running through my head.
After an hour or two, we were both pretty wasted,
and one thing led to another.
Even though we were surrounded by trash, I couldn't resist my urges and we ended up doing it right there.
The location was a mess, but I was thrilled to get this close to such a cute girl on day one,
and I was wondering if she might actually become my girlfriend.
Setting the state of her room aside,
she was aggressive during the act and our physical chemistry was amazing,
so honestly, it was incredible,
and I really wanted to build a long-term thing with her.
But right after that, her whole attitude abruptly changed.
She had been chatting normally, but suddenly turned her back to me and started tapping away on her phone.
She completely stopped talking to me.
"Is something wrong?"
I asked her,
"Nothing,"
was her only response.
She was so cold it made me wonder where the sweet, excited girl from a moment ago had gone.
Suddenly feeling very awkward,
"Mind if I use your shower?"
I asked.
To which she replied,
"The shower's broken,"
and went completely silent again.
Inwardly, I wondered how she even bathed, but
"Oh, okay. Mind if I use the restroom then?"
I said,
and after confirming her silent nod,
I walked over to the bathroom.
Her bathroom was a typical unit bath with the toilet next to the tub,
and it was in a horrific state as well.
Aside from barely enough space to stand and pee, mysterious trash was strewn everywhere, reeking with an awful odor.
Even the bathtub was completely filled with trash.
"It's not broken, she just can't use it because of all the trash,"
I cursed to myself.
As I was peeing, wondering what I should do next,
that was when it happened.
Something felt wrong in the corner of my vision.
Not just wrong—it looked like something was there that definitely shouldn't be.
Right where the bathtub met the floor, sticking out from between the trash, it looked like a small hand.
"Wait..."
Crouching down to look closer, it was tiny,
dark brown, and completely dried up.
Squinting to see better,
there were definitely things that looked like fingernails.
"*Gasp!*"
I didn't have the courage to look at "it" any longer.
To her, I just yelled,
"Sorry! Something came up!"
and without another word,
I bolted out of the apartment like my life depended on it.
She didn't react at all,
not even looking up as she kept tapping away on her phone.
Needless to say, I had zero desire to ever contact her again,
but starting that day, I've had nightmares every single night.
A baby's voice cries out from inside a bathtub filled with black, muddy water,
getting louder and louder,
and right as the screaming reaches its peak, I wake up.
Am I just overthinking this?
I've been having the exact same dream for a whole week now.
Honestly, there's no real punchline to this, and I don't know anyone who does exorcisms or anything,
but it's really starting to mess with my head.
Hey... that wasn't a baby, was it?
