The other day, I received a strange message on social media.

"Long time no see! How've you been?"

It read like an old friend reaching out after a long time. However, I couldn't place who he was. Looking at his profile, I had no connection to his hometown or where he lived, and we had zero mutual interests or friends.

Thinking it was just a prank or a mistake, I didn't reply.

Then, a few days later, another message came in.

"Heyyy, reply to me lol! Did you forget about me? lol"

"It's [Name]! Please message me back when you see this!"

"There's something I need to tell you, so please get in touch!"

He messaged me so frequently that I finally caved and replied.

"I'm sorry, but I don't recognize your profile. Do you have the wrong person?"

He replied right away.

"No, I have the right person! You're [Name], right? I know it's you!

After all, you're going to get into an accident with a taxi today and die lol"

Huh? It was way too creepy, so this time I completely ignored him.

However, when I went shopping later that day, I really did get into an accident.

My bicycle collided with a taxi, and I broke my leg.

Even if it was just a coincidence, it happened exactly as the message said. Shaken, I instinctively opened social media.

There was one new unread message.

Just a short note from that guy:

"Aw, so you didn't die? lol"

Terrified, I tried to go to his profile page, but...

"You have been blocked by this user."

Still utterly bewildered, I blocked him back.

Who in the world was that guy?
